Generally, google doesnt allow you to attach a file with extensions like exe, dll, ocx, com or bat. Google could even stop you if you try to cheat by changing the file format with extensions like zip.,tar.,tgz.,z.,gz.Google stops us to attach some files in order to get rid of virus attack. But there is exception for .rar. But it also makes you irritate sometimes. If you wish to attach .rar. file it stops upload by giving a warning "This is an executable file. For security reasons, Gmail does not allow you to send this type of file" Let me say you how to handle this problem. There are some website like Rapidshare, Megaupload, Yousendit, etc.Here you can upload your file to be send to your friends. Those sites will provide you a link to download your file. Now sind this link to your friends via Gmail. With that link your friends can download and see that file.
